The WCBA is delighted to report on progress in 2007 and looks forward to expand it's role in serving the local business community in 2008.
The WCBA celebrated its second year by continuing to help promote and enhance the business community in Midlothian business corridor.
Highlights of 2007 include
- Over 200 people attended our five Meetings
- Reaching our 50th membership
- General Assembly forum discussions
- Participation in the Midlothian village day festival and parade
- Sponsorship of the Candidate forums for the Midlothian
Supervisor and General Assembly races
- Participation in the Chesterfield County Transportation roundtables
- Participation in the Chesterfield County Economic Development business forum
- Speakers
and
topics this year included the Roseland Development, the Watkins Center, and the Greens of Midlothian Development, Dr. Curtis Newsom Superintendent of the Chesterfield county school system, Chesterfield County Administration and planning
departments
- Business spotlights featuring legal, financial and insurance benefits
- Participation in the Chesterfield Business Council debates
- Continued to expand our close working relationship
whit
the Village of Midlothian Volunteer Coalition, the Chesterfield Chamber, the Midlothian Exchange and Observer with joint events and networking collaboration
In 2008, we at the WCBA will strive to continue to expand and be a
catalyst to
"Make it Midlothian" as we continue to promote and be a voice for the Midlothian business community and make Midlothian a
great place to live, work and play.
